2022 EVENTS WEBSITE WITH 129 EVENTS IN 31 DAYS

March Dance is a Dance Festival for independent dance artists that runs in Sydney every Year. The website uses MOBLE widgets to let artists sell tickets directly through their profile, or link to the venue's booking website.

After its cancellation in 2021, due to Covid19, March Dance was back in 2022 with a brand new website designed and built by MOBLE.

DESIGN

With Covid19 restrictions still in place in January 2021 there was once again an uncertainly around the viability of hosting the festival for both the venue, artist and the attendee. This was a potential administration nightmare for the March Dance team with the cancellation of March Dance 2021 still fresh in their minds.

The website would need to offer flexibility to both the Artists and the Venues to post event dates and be nimble in how tickets would be sold.

SOLUTIONS

Unlike most CMS platforms, a MOBLE website doesn't lock down templates in to fixed automations and check out flows. The way that each venue wishes to transact tickets can be customised specifically, allowing users to decide if they would like to sell tickets directly via the March Dance website, link to the venue website, or link to a booking platform.

Tickets for each event can be removed, or marked as sold out, while still displaying the event dates on the page, across site widgets and in the Calendar.

Each event ticket has a QR Code allowing for simple Event Day check-in validation/admission. The venue simply scans the customers QR Code on the ticket and the ticket is marked as 'Redeemed'.

RESULTS

The March Dance 2022 Website was successfully launched with multiple venues quickly selling out tickets.

Following the event, event pages will showcase video and image galleries as an archive for visitors to return and enjoy.

The website is all ready set for 2023. With more Artists and Venues now aware of the QR Code ticketing and admission potential of the website. 2023 will use MOBLE's ACQUISITION CREDITS and SMS AUTOMATION to fully enhance the tools of the website by offering Vouchers, Cross Selling, Event Tickets and Event Merchandise in the Shop.
