2024 NOT FOR PROFIT AI WEBSITE

MOBLE won the Australian Web Awards for DirtyFeet in 2014. Now, in 2024, it was time for a redesign to support DirtyFeet's 10-year anniversary and introduce an online shop for Donations, Event Tickets, and Merchandise sales. The expectations were high and the pressure was on to deliver a new website design that was equally as stunning.

Dynamic Carousels. A popular 'Netflix' style carousel was introduced to browse Events and Artists.

DESIGN

When redesigning something, it's tough to work with the same material while finding new inspiration to tell a fresh story. This is particularly challenging when redesigning an award-winning website. It's akin to creating a follow-up music album after a successful debut, which can often lead to high expectations and the potential for disappointment.

With DirtyFeet about to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the brief was to reflect the company over the last 10 years and honour people who have contributed to its success as a staple Sydney performing arts not-for-profit. It was important to DirtyFeet that the design did not sway too much from the original and would use many of the same images as our first design.

STORE

We introduced Ecommerce to 3 areas of the business:

  BOX OFFICE TICKET SALES  

  • Tickets can be purchased with price options for Members, Concessions, Event Dates and Raffle Tickets.
  • On arrival at events guests may checkin with a QR Code, to have their ticket validated.
  • A reminder SMS with link to their virtual Ticket is sent the day before each event for seamless ticket validation and checkin.

  MERCHANDISE

  • An online shop sales, T-Shirts and Socks

  DONATIONS

  • Donation can be made for fixed for Fixed Price amounts, plus the option for visitors to select their own donation amount.

ANIMATION

We decided to experiment with some of the shapes from the logo. The logo was originally only available in a flat PNG file. We realized that if we recreated it as an SVG, we could use JavaScript to create an animation that lights up each square, as shown in the banner above.

We created a new font by expanding the logo from the ground up. This enabled us to use the animation with any text whenever we needed. In the footer next to the Donation Form, you can see it being used for the company slogan "It's Dirty Work But We Love It" to draw attention to donations at the end of each page. We extended the logo to make an entirely new Font from scratch. By doing this we could then use the animation in any text as whenever we required it. Here you can see it used for the company slogan "It's Dirty Work But We Love It', placed in the footer next to the Donation Form, to bring attention to donations at the close of every page.

LAYOUTS

We designed 24 custom drag and drop layouts for the client to mix and match to create new pages. Whether adding new events, artists or products the content team can easily choose existing layouts or create new variants and always stay on brand.

THEME

A variation on the design was used to create the YUZI THEME  which can be be used for free as part of MOBLE's Built By You solution.

The dark theme is suitable for stylish brands whether ecommerce, events, corporates or Agencies.

With such a breadth of services the website was selected as the reference website for MOBLE'S AI WEBSITE 90 MINUTE CHALLENGE, which is a rapid demo the entire MOBLE platform including Website Design, Online Store, AI Chatbots and AI Voicebots.
